DAY 208 OF 2012
..talking about home and riding in the back of my grandpas truck…this reminds me so much of home when i was a kid….my dad and uncle and grandpa had a junkyard in Fontana, California…..Fontana was a rough place in the middle of nowhere…surrounded by empty land and vineyards and a couple truck stops and the old Kaiser Steel mill…this was the birthplace of the Hells Angels…..and this was a big part of my childhood…going to work at the junkyard was part of growing up…this was from the office wall there….theres to much in this photo for me to get into…the pic of Ronald Reagan…the mac truck clock…my uncles sheriff pic….the Armenian Genocide sticker…that might be the most important piece….most of my ancestors were killed by the hands of Turks in the genocide…these were my parents grandparents families so its very close to home…the Turkish government has refused to tell the history by fact and still chooses to hide behind ignorance…Turkey a country that used to house 42 ethnic identities and now houses two…Turks and Kurds…and they’re doing their best to rid themselves of the Kurds too….its a very personal subject…I love the Turkish people of today that are aware and open minded…but I really cant stand their government and the people that fail to live up to their past….countries like France and Germany have made it illegal to denounce the genocide…its ashame our president Obama wont even consider it in fear that they might close their military air space to us…what a puppet…..him along with all the presidents before such as Bush and Clinton who both promised they would address the issue……
